A Great Idea is Born.
Angela Bowman, founder and CEO of Advance Check-In!, says that the idea for this service came to her after watching for and listening to customer demands for more convenience in their travel experiences. For the past seven years, Bowman has operated Rush It! Courier Service which has contracts with every airline that services the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport to transport delayed luggage to the hotels and homes of passengers.Considering the increased security measures that cause travelers some inconveniences, Advance Check-In! recognized this as a convenience that travelers would utilize.

Convenience and Security.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, and the Port of New Orleans have all approved the operations of Advance Check-In! The concept is viewed as a means of decreasing the check-in/check-out time for airport passengers at peak times. All luggage transported by Advance Check-In! is processed through the normal security scanning systems at the airport and at the Port of New Orleans.

We are proud to have built relationships with every airline carrier that flies into New Orleans. Additionally, we have partnered with the Port of New Orleans and the New Orleans airport, and we service the following cruise lines: Carnival Cruise Lines, Royal Caribbean International, and Norwegian Cruise Line to offer quality, dependable service that will enhance the traveler’s vacation experience. We have also partnered with a transportation company, KLM Transportation that will provide affordable and efficient passenger transportation to and from the airport, cruise terminal, hotels and French Quarter.

Frequently Asked Questions
- How will my luggage be transported from the airport to the cruise ship?
Advance Check-In! shuttles luggage in secured vehicles for protection against damage, theft and weather. Upon arriving at the cruise ship terminal, luggage is processed through normal check-in and security screening measures as if you were there with your luggage. The normal security measures are also utilized when we transport your luggage from the port to the airport.
- What are the times for luggage pick-up?
Advance Check-in! is aware of all cruise ship schedules, and we can transport your luggage to the ships based on those schedules.
When you make an online reservation for Advance Check-In! services, we ask for your flight information to best coordinate the transportation of your luggage.
- Where is Advance Check-In! located?
At the New Orleans airport, we are located next to belt #1 in the baggage claim area. Once you retrieve your luggage, bring it to our office and we will take it from there
At the Port of New Orleans, cruise ship terminal, we are located in the passenger pick-up/drop-off area. Once you have cleared customs with your luggage, bring it to our desk and we will set your luggage up for delivery to your hotel or the airport.
- How is pricing determined?
The fee is $25 for the first three (3) pieces of luggage and $5 for each additional piece of luggage. All luggage within an order must have matching names as the bags will be delivered to the cruise ship cabin as reflected on that order. Oversized/overweight items may incur an additional fee.
Large groups of 25 or more traveling together should call for special pricing options.
- How do I pay for this service?
Advance Check-In accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, travelers’ checks and cash. When making an online reservation, you must use a credit card.
- Are items inside my luggage protected against loss?
Advance Check-In! has adopted the same limited liability policy shared by the major airlines. We are responsible only for damages or lost items as a direct result of mishandling by an Advance Check-In! employee. Compensation for loss or damage is not to exceed $1,000. We encourage patrons to always keep their valuables with them. We will not be responsible for money, jewelry, cameras, video and electronic equipment, negotiable papers, securities, business documents, samples, paintings, antiques, artifacts, manuscripts, furs, irreplaceable books, publications or similar valuables.
- What about other security concerns?
Advance Check-In! has the full support and approval of the National Transportation Security Administration, the Federal Aviation Administration, the New Orleans International Airport and the Port of New Orleans.
